So, a post on a very dead journal to say that I have my portfolio up and running.

I have my good days, and I have my bad days.

Today was a good day. Thank you, Hayley.

Okay, my internet stuffs need a bit of reworking.
I'm planning to revamp Simple Dreams a bit; I don't really like the current layout and feel of the site. I think it's a bit crowded; the layout and the organisation.
Comment and suggestion as to a new layout would be so very wonderful... I'm all out of ideas right now.

I'm thinking of having an icon journal, with just a link to it on the site. Icons are always so hard to organise, but if I could just use the LJ tag system it would be good. And I'll maybe do blogging on SD, rather than here. Maybe not. Maybe I'll get me a job, and get a domain. Or maybe I could organise it as a chrissy present... I could offer to pay half...

Ok, so I have a bit of time to kill. A few minutes while a file transfers to this computer.
I'm sitting here, reading my email. And I then I decide I'm going to make history. I'm am, for the first time ever, going to read through every new chain mail letter I have recieved in the last day or so. So I start with one titled 'FW: RE:'. (What a creative name!!)After the horribly long list of past recipients, I get to the content. (If that's what it is; personally I find the little ads at the bottom the highlight.

It's about this poor little girl who gets this strange guy chatting to her online, and telling her that he needs her. She gets scared and decides to sleep in her sisters bed. Then, long and short of it all, her and her sister both die a nasty death in their wardrobe. Then the parents get over the trauma and have another child. That child then finds out that he has dead sisters, and the parents die a nasty death in their wardrobe. Apparently if you don't send the message on, you'll die the same nasty death, presumably in your very own wardrobe. Pity I just cleaned out mine, cos I aint sending that message nowhere.

After reading through that I then decided that history could wait, and I'd just continue my little habit of deleting crap. LJ was far more inspiring, and potentially believable too.

Orlando Bloom, by the way, is not gay. And neither is his boyfriend.

It went well. I might have got all hyped about it if I hadn't have been so damn tired by the end, or my throat wasn't so sore.
But it was good none the less. I'm stuffed, but I can't wait to (maybe) be on stage next year.
Everything with mics went smoothly, except for the fact that yet another band has disappeared. X.x We've decided to get the leads together before the next show and yell it into them.
Leo was outstanding, Siobhan got an Oscar, and Hayley got to wear the prettiest dress... that about sums it up!

Opening night!!!

Tonight is the opening night of our school production! For those of you who don't know, I'm doing microphones. Which means I have to continuously put on and remove mics from the cast. I would have been on cast, but I just couldn't have coped with it this year. Next time, hopefully. The production this year is Annie Get Your Gun. So yeah. I have to go now, but I hope it goes well. 6pm to after 11pm. :S *crosses fingers*

I saw Pirates 2 yesterday!! :D It was really good, despite a rather eventful trip to the cinemas.
I was going with Em and Tori. Then I invited Hayley. So I was hoping that Em wouldn't hate me for bringing my sister along. :P She always says I spend to much time with my brothers friends. Then I decided to be early for picking Em up for once. So I'm ready 10 minutes before I said I would be at her place... it should only take 1 minute to get round there, so I thought I was ready early. But alas, like every time I think I'm early, something else happened. It turned out we had to pick my little brothers friend up too. And he lives 10 minutes away. O.o So I was late. And it turned out that Em had got the days mixed up, and thought it was tomorrow. So adding in the 5 minute rush to be ready we were even later.
When we got to the cinemas I found Tori and Hayley talking. Which was good. They'd only met once, and I don't know how they managed to spot each other, and make it click that they were going to the same movie. I didn't think I'd told either of them which 'other friend' I was bringing. :P And then we got our tickets, and went to get some chocolate from Bi-Lo. And then I lost my ticket. So I back-tracked and found it on the floor of Big W. :P

Then we saw the movie. It was really good, as I said. It really does leave you hanging at the end, so I can't say wether I like the plot until I've seen the next one, lol. But everything about it was good; acting, plot, music, scenery... everything. I'll have a huge rant about my theories for the reasoning behind everything in a little while. Once a few more of the people who'll read it have seen it. I know how much I hate spoilers, and I have every respect for others disliking them. All I'll say it that you have to go and see it! Mr Depp rocks! :)

After the movie there wasn't really time for shopping, but Hayley had to go get some jam and cream. I ended up getting a really cooll $2 beanie while we were waiting for her. :P I then went and got cooking chocolate to make cool swirly things to put on her cake (hence the jam & cream). Needless to say, I failed miserably. But I did have fun, I did spill melted chocolate all over my jeans, and I did learn how not to melt chocolate.
The reasoning behind it all was that Hayley and family were having fish and chips for dinner with us. :P So between that and a very nice, very creamy-jamy-chocolatey sponge cake, I felt gross by bed time.

I feel a bit better this morning. Good enough to be half looking foward to my production rehearsal today. All 8 hours of it. Tech crew have to be there an hour before everyone else. Gah. I'm really wishing I was up on stage, but I really wasn't well enough to even consider all the rehearsals/camp required. I just couln't have done it. Maybe next year, though.

Anyways, I think I wrote to much. This was ment to be a note. Sorry all.

End of the first week of a new semester. So I've started my new electives. =)
First drama class today. It was really fun! Double period of doing freeze-frames, random skits and slow-mo sword fights. *limps off in absolute victory* I think I'm gonna like this semester....
I didn't get the teacher I was wanting, but I got put with a few of the people I was hoping for. So that's okay.

I also had my second health class; again, a double. *hides from scarey subject* And I've got a French poetry recital on Thursday. I have to memorise a poem in french. 0.o We get reports on Tuesday, and the WC finals are sunday night/monday morning. Ugh. I'm gonna be so stuffed on Monday....

We won the fucking game! But we didn't. It was our game all the way, until, in the last 20 seconds, a pentaly was awarded to Italy in the box. And they got it. I can't believe it! It was our game! It was a fairly given penalty, but it wasn't fair that it should be given... I've seen potential pentaly kicks left by refs because it wouldn't have been fair to give one team such an advantage.
Awww... I'm not gonna sleep now. *sobs*
If Italy go on to win the cup, which is entirely possible, at least I'll know that we might have been able to, given different circumstances. =(

I'm now going to watch the FA cup when it happens... Liverpool shalt be my team. (*heart Kewell*)

SOCCER!!!!

It's 1.29am here, and I'm sitting in front of the TV watching the soccer. Someone tell me I'm nuts.

Aus is playing Italy... and we're actually doing okay. No goals scored at this moment, and I have a feeling we're winning the possesion statistics. Kewell is one crutches... *sobs* ...if we win this without him, then I feel confident we can mince who ever we next play with him.
Baffoon, sorry, Buffon, is the Italian goaly. Hoping he lives up to his name. =D Okay, late night lame humour has started to set in. I'll just watch the match, shall I?

Brazil vs Australia

We lost, 2:0. Notice that I didn't enlarge that.

I got up to watch it at 2am, lol. Didn't get to bed til 4.30. Aussie lost, although I don't feel it was a fair result. Not that the refs were bad, it was just that we played nearly as good, if not as good, as Brazil. There's been a whole lot of publicity here about the refereing, though. Brazil got 26 free kicks, to Australias 9. And not one Australian appeal for a foul was accepted. But Brazil got plently...
And I was yelling at the TV for not calling the Brazilians off side a few time, two of which they scored a goal moments after. And trust me, I was berating the refs even before I realised that they'd score, so it's not just me finding a fault in the goal. It was offside by metres, not just a foot out of place.
Not that I'm complaining. Hard game to ref. But Kewell was, though... he had a go at the main ref after the match... nearly got suspended for it!

Anyways, I'm rambling. I could ramble all day about the soccer...

I wanted to watch England/Sweden, but I had friends staying the night and it was kinda rude to wake them all up at 4.30am to watch soccer, lol. We play Croatia next, and we only have to draw to get through. Bounce First time ever that we'll have made it through the first round, and we had Brazil in our group!
I watched the Spain/Tunesia... great game! Spanish are pretty cool. :)
Now I really am rambling.... sorry. I'll shut up now. I love soccer.

Oh, and here is something relevant.

The previous two posts were made by my older brother, when I accidently left my LJ logged in.

Twice. Oops. The comments are by me, though. I did the same a week or so back, so yeah. Go have a look at what I wrote in his journal... quest... thing. Okay, overly LotR I am. Don't blame me. Just go see [info]foward_motion. You'll know which one I wrote... *evil grin*

Ha Jenn!

So, someone's left their LJ logged in. Well, who can blame me.

I might just tell a few embarrasing stories about my sister while I can.. For a start, she has strange friends! So strange that she has to borrow mine occasionally. I think she's sleeping in right now, oblivious to what I'm writing. Hehe.. Anyway, bye for now! I'll post some more later..

Well. I seem to be making a lot of entries lately. Here's some Elizabethtown icons that I made. :) Some are really crap, and just use cropping and the same effect, but there are one or two that I do like. I particularly like the first one in the preview... It's such a cool look. *snags own icon*
Gah. I'm crazy.

Anyhows, a preview....

I hate Mrs Pearson. I hate her. I never liked having her for english, but before now I didn't have anything against her personally. Now I do.
For the first time this year I didn't understand something. I just didn't get it. So, being a good student, I asked the teacher for help. And she didnt! She may as well have refused to help me. She didn't get that I didn't know what 'precipates' or something are, and that that bit was what I needed help with, not the bit that said that I needed to underline them. Grrr. No one else understood it either, but only a few people were up to that. So I spent the rest of the lesson sitting there looking at her, just trying to make a point that I couldn't go on.

So that got me in a bit of a rebellious mood, as Kate so nicely put it.
Then I had a different answer to the one she had for a certain 'fill in the gaps' question. It was in past tense, not present. So I asked what defined the sentence as present tense, and why we couldn't have used the past tense. She totally dismissed my question, telling me 'that was the answer'. I said I didn't understand why, and she completely ignored me!! People say she's a really good 'teacher', even if she is grumpy. Bullshit.

Brazil beat Croatia, 1:0

I'd give you a detailed rundown of the match, but I'm currently eating breakfast and mum might kill me if I'm on here too long. So basically, I got up at the unearthly hour of 5:30 to watch the match. I missed the first half, but I got all of the second. Brazil scored during the final minutes of the first half apparently, but it didn't show during the second. The overall possesion percentages were something like 49% to Brazil, and 51% to Croatia. Croatia had several good shots at goal during the second half, but didn't get any in. They played very well against the world #1's.
There was something that made two croation players be taken off by officials furing the second half; I think they may have been wearing the wrong numbers. 0.o

But I don't think any of you really want to hear about the soccer. So I'll leave it at that, and maybe snag a few little blog things off peoples later in the day. :P

Au revior!

AUSTRALIA WON 3:1!!!!! w00t!!

I'm hyped! I didn't watch it cos it finished about 1 in the morning, but I'll be able to watch the next two cos I wont have school the next day. So yeah. We played Japan, and scored all three goals during the last 8 minutes. Cahill got two, and Aloisi (sp?) got the final one. :) So I'm realy really happy!

Right now I'm in history; about half the class turned up, so our teacher decided to let us have a period to stuff round on our laptops. She's been getting music off people, and right now she's looking at peoples webpages. :P She rocks!
I'm also playing solitare. :) Yay. Have a good day!

It's my Birthday!!!

And I've decided to do it hobbit style.... :) Instead of recieving gifts, they give everyone a gift on their birthday. Which is pretty cool, really. Anyways, here's the start of my gift to the world. I'm not sure anyone is wanting them but I've got 35 Johnny Depp icons. Obsessed? What? Me? Never!
I know they're not all the best, but (believe it or not!) I only chose the better ones to post. I've got another 20 or so that didn't really work. Anyhows, credits. The table generator came from Bauble, and the images from Johnny Depp Web. A few of Ewanism's brushes were used.

A preview....

Your Personality Is Like Cocaine

You're dynamic, brilliant, and alluring to those who don't know you.
Hyper and full of energy, you're usually the last one to leave a party.
Sometimes your sharp mind gets the better of you... you're a bit paranoid!

Right. Remined me never to select the 'most drugs should be made legal' option again. Cos I did. :P And I'm getting too sickof this current LJ layout. It's a bit dark and depressing. I think I'll dream up something LotRish. Or maybe even Viggo-ish. :)
